Mission Statement

The mission of The Academy of Radio & Television Broadcasting is to provide those with a sincere desire for careers in Radio and Television/Video Production with their best opportunity for entry-level positions in the industry. The Academy accomplishes our mission by screening applicants for talent and desire, and providing complete, comprehensive training in a hands-on environment, coaching by working professionals, and mentoring on an individual basis.

Convenient Location

The Academy campus is in Huntington Beach in Orange County, also known as “The OC.” We are right in the heart of Southern California, and 30 miles from Los Angeles, the entertainment capital of the world. The campus is easily accessible to a number of theaters, music venues, restaurants, museums and airports, as well as fun-filled spots like Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Hollywood. And of course, the beach! Our campus offers ample parking and easy access to public transportation.

Modern Facilities

Our facilities enable our students to fulfill their career and training objectives. The campus is just under 7000, climate-controlled, square feet and contains 18 fully equipped radio broadcast studios, television sound stage, fully-equipped television studio and editing facilities, special facilities for on-camera training, two large lecture rooms, news gathering and editing area, Personal Instruction rooms, and a student lounge for you and your classmates to enjoy.

An Approved Institution

The Academy of Radio Broadcasting has been approved to operate by The Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education under the California Education Code Section 94915. Approval to operate means that The Academy is in compliance with the minimum state standards and does not imply any endorsement or recommendation by the state or by The Bureau.
